This is one cool website. We especially like the new Headteacher and our new LOLA! Lola is our new inter-activity board-she's a beautiful blue and yellow gem....she's also wonderful because she helps us learn about living things, shapes and the world. We need to work out how to do our tables challenge on the board!

Let me introduce myself. My father was headteacher of Gelston Primary in the late 1950's. I also attended Gelston Primary and Castle Douglas High both of which I have very fond memories. From your photos I don't think the school has changed much. Hopefully someday I'll pay a visit to see the differences from my day to yours

attended gelston from 1949 to1953/4 Mrs Corrie was my primary teacher head master was first Mr Smith then MrLiddle.

Have some happy thoughts of my time at gelston school,since thoes days my life has been not too bad got married have 4 childern now all married have 7 grankids
trained as a nurse, still nursing but in a managerial post as an nursing co-ordinator
I live in Fife for the past 30 years,and work in Edinburgh.
My foster sister still lives in Kirkcudbrightshire Iam quite often there.

I wanted to wish all the staff and pupils at Gelston Primary a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I still miss you a lot but you have got a super new Head Teacher in Mrs. McCaig. She is a very good teacher, great fun and I'm sure you will like her a lot.

Gelston is the best school in the world because mrs Montgomery is the best I.C.T teacher in the world!

Mrs Greive and Mrs Kerr makes lovely food for us and the pudding is lovely as well!!

Mrs Carter is helpful to the infant she helps them lern to gether so they are all at the same level .

Gelston is a fun school,great,and has a lot af fun classes. The best class is I.C.t with Mrs Montgomery.

i have just left high school before the summer holidays and was thinking about my school career. I thought i would check out the Gelston page and seen how many faces i knew!
